Novelty! Games controlled on tablets that introduces a new way of playing on an interactive device.
The new method of interacting with applications in Motioncube.
Now the application can be run both on the interactive device (i.e. interactive floor, wall with IR pen control) and on two mobile devices which the players use to create and transfer code to the application on an interactive device. This allows players to observe code execution on the interactive floor, which is an extremely effective way to learn and explore programming.
It's a fascinating combination of visual and hands-on coding learning that opens up new perspectives in developing programming skills.

Race Mission: Building
Collect planks, and a fishing rod and build a bridge from which you will fish for chests. You can take boards and a fishing rod from anywhere on the board, making it more difficult for your opponent to complete the task. Collect more treasures than your opponent!Team Mission: Conquest
One of the heroes must reach the finish line of the camp. Mutual help will allow you not to lose the necessary energy and overcome difficulties. Collect the necessary tools and watch out for single-pass fields. In fields with a green battery, you can recharge your energy by +5, but beware of red batteries, which reduce your energy reserve by -1. Decide which will be more profitable because each step consumes your energy by -1.Team Mission: Ghost
Ghosts' paths sum up to one single path for the characters to traverse. Each character moves on its side of the board. Help one of the heroes reach the finish line by mapping the ghosts' routes. This is a condition for completing the task. Get ready for memory training and quick code creation!Team Mission: Maze
Create an action plan, collect the necessary tools and bring your heroes to the finish line. The choice of finish doesn't matter. Be careful with single-pass fields. Let's work together!Race Mission: Obstacle Course
You are walking on separate paths. You can use a lever to activate the trap and a totem that opens the passage. Try to predict your opponent's moves. The most important thing is to be the first at the finish line!Race Mission: Resources
Be smart and collect more coins. Remember that every move you make uses energy. You can charge it by +5 by standing on a field with a battery. The player who reaches the finish line and has more coins in his inventory will win. With the same number of coins, there will be a draw in the game.Create instructions on tablets and send them to the game on the interactive device!

This app collection is the first development of network games for an interactive floor on the market. It is also another part of the original methodology of teaching programming using interactive projection devices, developed by the LavaVision team. The applications included in the package are intended to introduce primary and secondary school students to the world of selected programming concepts in an interesting, attractive formula of online games. In addition, the challenges proposed in the applications from the "Kodi Challange Team" pack can support the development of visual perception, logical and algorithmic thinking, as well as the ability to work in a group.
In the game, we program visually using symbolic image blocks, which facilitates easier learning of new rules and concepts. We use terms such as:
- iterative loop using the "Repeat" block
- conditional expression using the "If then, else" block
- commands in the form of blocks with directional arrows
- event handling using conditional blocks
- function using action blocks
- clock rate handled by the "Wait" block
In addition, the game formula is based on exercises that stimulate cognitive functions, in particular vision and memory.
The authors of the games tried to respond to the developmental needs of school-age children, focusing primarily on supporting motor and sensory skills during organized, safe games and activities.
The boards in the game have been grouped according to the purpose of our heroes' mission and game modes - COMPETITION and COOPERATION.
- Mission 1 - get out of the mazes
- Mission 2 - overcome obstacle courses
- Mission 3 - collect coins and save energy
- Mission 4 - build bridges and fish for treasure
- Mission 5 - capture the enemy's base
- Mission 6 - recreate the paths of forest spirits from memory
In each application, the boards are arranged in ascending order in terms of the level of difficulty of the tasks.
An undoubted difficulty that players will face is the ability to cooperate in creating algorithms in which the goal will be to reach the finish line simultaneously or help each other in completing tasks.
KODI CHALLANGE TEAM combines two ways of interacting with the application - using interactive pens and tablets, thus offering a new type of interaction on the device.
Display applications on the interactive wall or floor. In each game, two players compete, working on tablets.
After launching the board, players will also see it on their mobile devices. Players have picture blocks with instructions for heroes available under the board, from which they have to create a route for their characters during gameplay. The completed algorithms are displayed on the main display where you can start executing them.
Interactive applications are intended for the Motioncube based devices. To play, you need an interactive pen (IR pen) and two tablets with the Android operating system on which the free Kodi Challenge Team mobile application is installed.
*The game pack works from version 2.7.4 of Motioncube Player. During the installation of the games on your interactive device, a new type of interaction - TABLETS will be added.
KODI CHALLENGE TEAM - How does it work?
- The leader selects an application (mission type) and a board and runs it on the interactive floor or whiteboard with Motioncube Player. Users run mobile applications on tablets, connect with host device and choose their heroes. The board is displayed on the host device and players' tablets. The teams' task is to bring the heroes to the finish line by composing the code from the blocks on a mobile device. Ready codes are automatically sent to the host device where the game will start.
- The host can download the arranged codes from the players, even if they have not yet been sent to the main device. To do this, select the "Get players code" button.
- When both players make errors in their algorithms (e.g. the hero entered an illegal field or did not reach the finish line), they can modify their instructions and re-send them to the device.
- After completing a given board, it is marked on the list as completed and players can then return to it to analyze their algorithms displayed on the main device. When a new board is launched, previous solutions are cleared.
Do you prefer racing or team challenges?
RACE means RIVALRY MODE
In competition mode, teams work independently and do not reveal their algorithms until the entire route is completed. The winner is the team whose hero is the first to complete the route and reach the finish line. In some missions, the amount of resources collected, not the arrival time, determines victory in the game. So stay tuned. Players can set trapsfor the opposing team's hero. If none of the heroes reach the finish line during the game, players can correct their codes on tablets and re-upload them to the host device.
TEAM means COOPERATION MODE
In co-op mode, teams communicate with each other to create codes on tablets that will help their heroes work together and complete the route together. Characters on the board help each other overcome obstacles along the route. Depending on the type of mission, the condition for success in the game may be for two or only one hero to reach the finish line, or for both characters to reach the finish line at the same time. In case of failure, players have the opportunity to correct their codes on tablets and re-upload them to the device.
