The underwater numbers mat makes negative numbers tangible through a sea metaphor. Zero is sea level, positive numbers are land and negative numbers are ocean depth. Children move a diver figure following commands, track the sequence of moves mentally and calculate how far and in which direction the movement occurred. The app includes one digital mat.
The app displays a static board as a large digital mat designed for projection onto the floor. The digital mat is used to organise educational activities in preschools and schools, including exercises and movement games using any props.
